Keratin Leave-In Conditioners to Strengthen and Straighten Your Hair

Keratin is a major component of human hair, and maintaining it is crucial to have strong, healthy hair. Keratin content decreases with age, leading to weak, lifeless, and brittle hair. Other factors that contribute to keratin damage are frequent heat styling, regular coloring, and harsh chemical treatments. This is why over-processed hair is dry, porous, and hard to comb after a shower.

If you want to strengthen, straighten, and revive your dry, lackluster hair, you should consider using hair products infused with keratin. Keratin in hair care products can improve the structure of hair fibers and keep your locks in top condition. Keratin particles in the form of hydrolyzed proteins and amino acids fill the gaps in the hair shaft, making hair stronger, shinier, and easier to style.

What is Leave-in Keratin Conditioner?

Keratin leave-in conditioner is a hair product meant to be left in the hair between shampoos to replenish hair’s natural keratin and make weak hair thick and gorgeous.

Keratin leave-in conditioner can greatly reduce the risk of hair damage when used prior to thermal styling. It also helps correct existing styling damage and makes hair feel stronger, thicker, and less prone to breakage.

A fine mist of leave-in keratin spray over wet hair will keep your hair tangle-free, making combing after a shower easy and help reduce split ends and breakage.

Curly/coarse hair types are naturally prone to frizz that can be a nightmare to deal with. Keratin leave-in products help make curly and coarse hair smoother, frizz-free, and more manageable. They can also soften curls and make them shinier and easier to manage.

Hydrolyzed Keratin vs. Keratin

Keratin molecules have a high molecular weight and can’t penetrate the hair shaft. These keratin molecules just attach to the hair surface, and despite the benefits they provide, they can make your hair look heavy and greasy. Hydrolyzed keratin, however, has very low molecular weight, which allows the protein particles to penetrate the hair shaft and rebuild the hair from the inside instead of just coating hair strands.
